Dr Sofija Kaljevic is registered architect, educator, and qualitative researcher in architecture and built environment, with research interests positioned on intersection between recorded histories of urban public places and peoples’ personal life-story narratives created through utilization of these spaces. She obtained PhD in Human and Community Development at West Virginia University, USA, focusing on examination of collective memory and social identity construction through engagement, participation and collective activity in public squares through application of Narrative Identity Theory. She currently works as Research Associate at Mind Lab, Deakin University, where she explores application of cross-media storytelling in digital placemaking in urban context.
