Jordan Vincent

Dr Jordan Beth Vincent is the Executive Manager/ Head of Sales and Strategy at Fika Entertainment (www.fikaent.com), a Deakin University spin-out company that specialises in virtual production, realtime VFX, animation and motion capture. Prior to joining Fika in 2019, Jordan led research for the Deakin Motion.Lab at Deakin University, where she produced and developed projects at the intersection of art, movement and technology with a range of partners including the ABC, City of Melbourne, Dementia Australia and others. Her work encompasses traditional academic outputs, industry collaborations and commercial research projects, and she is a CI in the ARC Industrial Transformation Hub for Digital Enhanced Living. Jordan’s background is as a dance historian and critic, with a PhD in dance history from the University of Melbourne (2010) in the field of 20th century Australian dance history. From 2008-2018, she was the dance critic for The Age (Fairfax Media) and has published widely on movement history, criticism and analysis.
