
Jason Steinwedel
Jason Steinwedel is the Director of ManuFutures. ManuFutures supports the sustainable development of advanced manufacturing communities. It enables innovative ideas to flourish through collaboration creating new jobs and value for businesses, researchers, staff and students.
Jason’s early career research was in lung recruitment, development of pre-operative stress testing and clinical systems integration. Moving into the private sector, Jason spent 13 years with General Electric Healthcare. Working from GE facilities around the world, in engineering, product development, applications, quality control and Six Sigma.
From 2008 Jason moved into the education sector in a senior role at the Gordon TAFE he championed a resurgence Engineering studies whilst establishing sustainable Education to Employment programmes within the disadvantaged regions of Geelong. Jason joined Deakin in 2012, as the project leader for the CADET project before becoming the Director of ManuFutures.
